How do you fill a cremation necklace?
Each comes with a small funnel and a sealing screw. Unscrew the top, add a small amount with the funnel, seal with the included thread sealant. Instructions are in the box; it takes about five minutes.
How much does it hold?
A very small amount — a pinch. It's a keepsake, not an urn. Capacity is listed on each piece.
Is it waterproof?
Sealed with the included thread sealant it's water-resistant for daily wear; remove it for swimming.
Can I give cremation jewelry as a gift?
Yes, and it's often given to a spouse or a parent. Send it unfilled with the kit; they fill it privately.
Choosing cremation jewelry
Metal: stainless steel for daily wear and price; sterling for weight and finish. Both engrave cleanly.
Engraving: an initial or a first name on the back, the dates if there's room. Fewer characters, larger letters.
